The event involves a drawing to see who will win a catered lunch for 20 at a known Ames, IA landmark or venue. The winner and his or her family and friends also receive a limousine ride to and from the event. Each Friday during my fall semester I was able to attend Cy In The City and photograph the event for visitames.com. I also helped design a coupon brochure given to the winner each week. Cy In The City was the highlight of my internship with ACVB. Not only was I involved in the the design and photography of the event, but I was introduced to hundreds of people within the Ames community. & Visitors Bureau. The event is aimed towards alumni of Iowa State University and people ages 60+. The Third Degree represents just that: A third degree. Attendees are supposed to invision themselves going back to school to receive their third degree from Iowa State -- high school being the first and undergrad being the second. I was involved in creating all the materials for the event.
